Review the medical records, then begin when you're ready
Before starting, open the medical records on the left (desktop) or the Records drawer (mobile) to read the medical history, current medications, consultation notes and any investigation results.
When you're ready, click Begin Consultation. The 12-minute timer starts as soon as the patient joins — just speak naturally, no buttons needed during the session.

What is a credit?
A credit is the unit you spend to start a consultation. Standard attempts cost 2 credits, Premium attempts cost 3 credits. Your 3 free sign-up credits cover one of each.

No subscription, no auto-renewals. Buy a pack when you need more. Payments handled by Stripe — used by Amazon, Shopify, BBC. PCI-compliant, encrypted end-to-end.
Track your balance any time
Your current credit balance is always visible in the members portal, alongside the Boost, Core and Value packs so you can top up whenever you need to.
Heads-up: credits expire 6 months after purchase, so we recommend buying smaller packs more often unless you know you'll use them up. The 3 free sign-up credits follow the same rule.

Every consultation is analysed across the three SCA domains — Data gathering, Clinical management, and Relating — with clear pass / borderline bands and written reasoning underneath.
Premium adds four targeted skill scores (Cue handling, Explanation, ICE & Empathy) plus specific quotes lifted from your transcript so you know exactly what to repeat and what to change next time.
Short consultation? Anything under 10 turns is disregarded and no credits are deducted.

What are AI Patients?
Realistic, voice-based consultation simulations for the MRCGP SCA exam. Speak to an AI-powered patient just like a real consultation — history, ICE, management — then receive structured feedback.
How do I create an account?
On your first visit you'll be prompted to sign up. Click Join, enter your details, and you're in. Please note the AI site uses a separate login from scarevision.co.uk.
Is it free to try?
Yes. Every new account gets 3 free credits — enough for one Standard case and a bit more, or one full Premium case. You can see the whole grading flow before paying anything.
How do credits work?
Credits are the unit you spend on each consultation. Standard costs 2, Premium costs 3. Buy packs of 12, 24 or 48 through the members portal whenever you need more — pay-as-you-go, no subscription, no auto-renewals.
Payments are handled by Stripe (the same platform used by Amazon, Shopify and the BBC). It's PCI-compliant, end-to-end encrypted, and we never see your card details.
Do credits expire?
Yes — credits expire 6 months after purchase. We recommend buying smaller packs more often unless you know you'll use them up. The 3 free sign-up credits follow the same rule.
Where do I see my balance?
In the members portal at scarevision.ai/members-portal. You'll find your current balance, every credit you've spent, every top-up you've made, and which case each credit went on.
What if my consultation is really short?
If it contains fewer than 10 turns (e.g. accidental start, technical issue), it's disregarded and no credits are deducted.
What happens if I run out mid-session?
Credits are checked before you start. If you don't have enough when you click Start, a pop-up will prompt you to top up. A consultation in progress always runs to completion.
How long does each consultation last?
12 minutes max — just like the real SCA. You can also end early by clicking Stop.
What do the status indicators mean?
Top-right: Not connected, Connecting, Waiting for patient, Talking, Thinking, Listening. Below that, the mic/speaker icons show red, grey or green so you can check your audio.
Do I need a microphone?
Yes — it's a voice-based consultation. Most laptops and phones have one built in; a headset or earphones give the best experience.
How long does grading take?
Usually 30–60 seconds. Wait on the page, or come back later and find it in My Progress.
Can I review previous attempts?
Yes. Every graded consultation is saved to My Progress — review past feedback, track improvement, revisit cases.
The patient can't hear me — what should I do?
Check browser microphone permission for this site (click the lock icon beside the URL). Confirm the right mic is selected in device settings, and that no other app is using it.
Which browser works best?
Chrome or Safari, up-to-date. Real-time audio makes browser quality more noticeable than on regular web pages.
